1. Assumption of Risk

I, the undersigned, understand that participation in soccer clinics, training, and games involves inherent physical risks, including but not limited to scrapes, bruises, sprains, falls, insect bites, and contact with other players or equipment. I explicitly acknowledge that these are standard risks associated with outdoor youth sports, and I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my child's participation in the program.

2. Liability Release and Waiver

In consideration of my child being allowed to participate, I hereby release, waive, and forever discharge Rookas Soccer Academy / Rookas FC, its coaches, staff, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of any minor injury, illness (including insect-borne illnesses or weather-related conditions), or accidental property damage that may occur during the normal course of academy activities.

3. Medical Emergency Authorization

In the event that my child is injured or becomes ill during academy hours and a parent/guardian cannot be reached immediately, I hereby grant permission to the academy staff to administer basic first aid and, if necessary, secure professional medical treatment or transport for my child. I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

4. Code of Conduct & Environment

I acknowledge that the academy provides a positive, competitive, and supportive environment for youth development. I agree to ensure my child arrives with appropriate gear (e.g., shin guards, athletic shoes/cleats, and water) and that parents/guardians will maintain good sportsmanship on the sidelines. The academy reserves the right to remove any participant or spectator who disrupts this environment.

5. Photo and Media Release

I hereby grant Rookas Soccer Academy / Rookas FC permission to take photographs, video recordings, or digital media of my child during academy activities. I understand and agree that these materials may be used for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to the academy's official website, social media channels, brochures, and flyers. I acknowledge that neither my child nor I will receive any financial compensation for the use of these images.

6. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Registration fees secure your child's spot in the clinic. Full refunds are available if a cancellation request is submitted in writing to Rookasacademy@gmail.com at least 7 days prior to the start date of the registered session. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date, or after the session has begun, are strictly non-refundable but may be eligible for a partial credit toward a future clinic at the sole discretion of the director.

While we make every effort to host make-up dates for severe weather cancellations, refunds or prorated credits will not be issued for sessions delayed or canceled due to unsafe field conditions or acts of God beyond our control.
